	Hello, I'm a printer engineer working in a printer repair and setup shop. I use chip-free firmware and yours, but I'm having a problem. After installing the firmware for two months or more, I get an error message in the system, error code 308600. This problem has occurred with more than one printer, so I would appreciate your help in resolving it. Thank you.

	Unlike many Epson printers where the waste ink pad counter can be reset using tools like the Adjustment Program or WIC Reset Utility, the Epson WF-3620 and WF-3640 models handle this differently. These printers do not store the waste ink counter inside the printer firmware. Instead, the counter is embedded in an IC chip located on a separate Maintenance Cartridge (waste ink box). Once the cartridge reaches its limit, the system will not allow further printing, and the only solution is to replace the entire maintenance cartridge with a new one that includes a fresh IC chip.

	Hiya,
</p>

<p>
	Been trying for over a year now to create a report and enable even basic functions inside WIC RESET for the XP-65 Printer which is identical to the XP-55 Printer just different firmware and already supported however even with the previous 2024 version of wic reset or even the new 2025 update I still can't create a report to get it included for reset options,I have been asking Lisa on live chat since acquiring the printer but I'm getting nowhere And now the printer is overflowed and sat gathering dust.
</p>

<p>
	I also have other printers that are not supported and can't create a report for it currently so I need the programmers help or other solutions.
</p>

<p>
	Can you start supplying the FULL Adjustment programs again for situations like this as cut down versions seem pointless where Wic is not supported,I'm not sure on another trusted source like yourself to buy these from.
</p>

	Hello. I have 2 C5290 printers. The older one works perfectly with chipless firmware CT14I9, but the newer one has problems with LAN and Maintenance Box.
</p>

<p>
	LAN port doesn`t work. Link is not established with the switch. Updating original Epson firmware makes LAN port work, so maybe the printer has a newer hardware incompatible with this older chipless firmware.
</p>

<p>
	The Maintenance Box level doesn't go down, I don't need a maintenance box chip resetter in that printer, something that doesn't happen in the older model, where maintenance box level lowers over time, as it should.
</p>

<p>
	I was wondering if you could make a newer chipless firmware for C5290 model, so I can use LAN on both printers.
</p>

<p>
	Thank you.

	Hello, everyone!
</p>

<p>
	I had received two heaviliy clogged Epson ET-4750 -s (known also as L6190 in some parts of world) printers from Germany. First one was not printing at all, second one prints only black.
</p>

<p>
	I wanted to replace ET2720 with which I am very happy 3 years (installed outer waste ink bottle) but wanted to replace it only for the lack of ADF and automatic duplex.
</p>

<p>
	I was physically trying to unclog the first ET-4750 (like shown here: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkiUcoywbdE" rel="external nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkiUcoywbd</a> )
</p>

<p>
	But after 4 power cleanings pages still came out completely white an the capacity of the brand new bought maintenance box was nearly its end so I was going the method shown above, then a few hours of struggle it started printing very badly in color but still not in black, and the moment I was going to detach printerhead to clean it off the printer it went into this Fax testing mode and then on next day it booted into printer inspection mode.
</p>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	What I did since then:
</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	- downloaded Recovery firmware from epson.com (available only there, not in eposon.co.uk or Epson.de or epson.bg) to try to reflash it but unfortunately at step 5 the setup doesn't recognize the machine connected to the PC via USB cable (the second machine which starts normal is recognized via the same cable and it says it will downgrade instead of upgrade firmware). Firmwares on both machines are the same.
</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	- I tried to install the drivers and Epson printer package for ET 4750, at the step where it asks to connect the printer and choose between Ethernet, USB cables and WiFi, I choose USB cable and it recognizes it and goes to next step of setup, so it is recognized via USB cable, but not via the recovery firmware. WIC utility also recognizes it as 4750.
</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	- I have backed up the EEPROM from the working machine and tried to restore it on the faulty one via Wic reset utility v5.90 but no matter what I try to do on the faulty printer Wic utility goes not responding until I unplug the USB cable or turn off the printer.
</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	- there is a Printer Adjustment program for this model here:
</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	<a href="https://www.2manuals.com/product_info.php?products_id=1886" rel="external nofollow">https://www.2manuals.com/product_info.php?products_id=1886</a>
</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	But I am not sure it will work in restoring the EEPROM from the other machine on the faulty one as WIC reset utility already went not responding a few times trying to do it. I don't know any other way to reflash the EEPROM, you tell me if you know one please! I am newbie in reflashing printer firmwares.
</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	Lisa, the chat support of 2manuals told me to go to Epson service center instead of everything else. Epson phone Hotline is useless, they care only about the the serial number and my name, they were most important then they simply sent me to service center, no help from them. From the service center they told me after everything I've tried the bill to replace motherboard, clogged printer head and do some software settings installations will be over 400 Euro, which is ridiculous like the price of a new machine. They also told me cleaning the print head is non effective and with a temporary effect, sometimes after it is getting even worse.
</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	- there is some solution particularly for going out of printer inspection mode at:
</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	<a href="https://www.2manuals.com/online/knowledgebase.php?entry=show&amp;search-for=inspection+mode+&amp;etc=IzQwNzhjNw__&amp;article=YzFmYTQ1NTNhODkxNGRjYmEzZTk1ZmJiOTQxMTljMTk_" rel="external nofollow">https://www.2manuals.com/online/knowledgebase.php?entry=show&amp;search-for=inspection+mode+&amp;etc=IzQwNzhjNw__&amp;article=YzFmYTQ1NTNhODkxNGRjYmEzZTk1ZmJiOTQxMTljMTk_</a>
</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	But Lisa the chat support didn't explain me how it works and I was unable to find the option to leave inspection mode in WIC reset utility v5.90. Maybe the option was available in earlier version of Wic reset utility which I don't have?
</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	- There is a video from Kevin from BCH here:
</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XsIjxn3rzk" rel="external nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XsIjxn3rzk</a>
</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	for the ET 15000 model that looks very similar to ET4750 explaining that there is some 5 digit code that if you know and enter in the screen  with "up", "shift" and "fin" on it it may recover your printer back to normal but I don't have this code and Epson phone support said it doesn't work on my model.
</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	Kevin also says the EEPROM of this model ET 15000 is reflashed only taken off the printer. Is it the same for ET 4750?
</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	The local Bulgarian service center didn't tell me anything about reflashing the EEPROM, they said in a situation where printer loses connectivity like mine they directly replace the motherboard.
</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	So is there any solution for me different than disposing this machine? How may I reflash the EEPROM or get the printer out of  inspection mode?
</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	Do you also have any working solution of heavily clogged ET 4750?
</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	Thanks in advance to everyone giving me some working solution!
</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	PS:Btw the power cleaning option of WIC reset utility was also unable to make the second ET 4750 print more than the page in black on the last image. So does the Printer adjusment program reach better results regarding cleaning and writing/restoring EEPROMs on faulty machines than the Wic reset utility?
</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">
	I am expecting a resetter for maintenance box for this model to be able to use regularly the cleaning options of the machine, but if I don't manage to make at least one of this machines work it will be useless spent money.

	Hi
</p>

<p>
	I succesfully installed the chipless firmware to my epson WF 5620. It worked.
</p>

<p>
	The quality of the print after that was very bad (the ink cartidges are new), so I chose clean head, and after that the<strong> Ink charge</strong> option.
</p>

<p>
	After that the printer when it boots it does a sound (from the belt inside ) and it produces error 0xEA on red screen.
</p>

<p>
	I installed another firmware (older that I had downloaded earlier)  but it happens the same thing after boot. I think the ink charge broke it.
</p>

<p>
	What should I do?

	Hello readers and forum techs, i have an epson wf-7830 printer that has given 2 weeks of headache now. I will try my best to describe the genesis of everything.
</p>

<p>
	Initially the printer was installed with ciss and worked perfect. But during transportation, ink spill in the printer head contacts with fcc cable. Few visible burns were present. But i trimmed the fcc and cleaned the printer head contacts. Ofcourse the fuse in the board was broken and i replaced it with another fuse. However by the time the printer was brought fo me, the fuse had been looped. I removed the loop and put a good fuse.
</p>

<p>
	Now when i connected back everything, the printer goes on in several different ways.
</p>

<p>
	First, it opens in printer inspection mode, there is a list of the inspections. After i tried all of them, an error 031006 appears. Indicating that fuse is broken but in actual sense the fuse is not broken. The below image 001 shows how the printer screen appears .
</p>

<p>
	Secondly, the printer may as well come on with a screen for fax test mode as in image 1 then after a short while the screen turns to as shown in image 2. With a warning to press on button then a red screen appears saying flag check. Initial flag off and inspection flag on as shown in figure 3.
</p>

<p>
	My 2 geatest concerns here are the error code 031006 which signifies fuse is open and is not. I removed same head and installed in epson wf 3820, which appears to be the A4 version of wf-7830, and finished all initial checks to home screen and ready to print. So apart from fuse, ffc cables and head, or main board, what else could cause error 031006? Point to note is that when i turn on the printer in service mode, and select special inspection, the error that comes is 031004, but normal mode or normal inspection brings the 031006 error.
</p>

<p>
	Secondly, could lal this trouble be caused by failure of the printer not being initialized, then how do you initialize, i have failed all attempts to get its firmware online. And the firmware displayed by wic tool is CB03L8.
</p>

<p>
	Please members assist me how i can have this printer working again.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks in advance.
</p>

	Hello Admin,
</p>

<p>
	Is there a way to exit "Program Update Mode" I performed several Firmware Update - the old, the latest FW from Epson support website and the chipless firmware- but of no luck, I got the same status when I turn on the printer "Program Update Mode".
</p>

<p>
	This is what I've done from this LCD screen every time I turned on the printer

<p>
