I´m having issues with Chipless for Epson WF C5810

The procedure of Firmware transfer seems to be working fine… it starts, takes a kind of 10 minutes to finish, but when I try to click in Activate Online on License.exe, it shown the following error message: Reading Error -1

What I´ve already tried:

 - Transfer firmware using original cartridges and without cartridges;

- Disable all printer processes;

- Disable Spooler Service on Services.smc;

- Delete all documents on print queue;

- Delete all other printers installed on the computer;

- Restart Printer;

- Uses another computer;

- Uses the WIC to finish another processes, but seems that the WIC is still not compatible with WF-C5810.

Follow in attachment a PDF with all steps until receive the error message.

Can you help, please?

STEP SEQUENCE UNTIL THE ERROR.pdf

I was able to complete the firmware update using EPFWUPD.exe (screen turned black and printer restarted), but when I go to do the license activation, the printer is detected on USB002, but when I click Activate Online, I get the error "Reading Failed - 1"

I thought the problem was my cable, but I can print normally using the USB cable (Network disabled on the printer, and using OEM ink).

I have W10 PC & Epson WF-2860. When I run the appropriate Epson WF-2860 from CS it tells me that it has failed but if I check using WicReset app it tells me that it has the correct updated firmware of LQ16L7. Manually checking my printer also confirms LQ16L7 firmware. Despite the firmware update software telling me it failed, that appears to be wrong. 

I think it updated correctly but I have no way to know for sure that the keys will work. I need some reassurance that what I'm thinking is correct or not before I buy the CS license. Any help from kind folk who could please advise me on this issue would be most appreciated.

I have an epson wf 2860 and it is not updating the firmware, someone knows why? Version says it has 10.52.LQ99Z9

Hola, tengo una xp231 a la que se le puso el firmware, se activo con la llave, luego colocamos el sistema continuo y funciono bien por un tiempo, ahora marca sin tinta, intente cargar el codigo de recuperación, pero da error (lectura fallida - 1), volvimos a instalar el firmware pero sigue dando el mismo error, lo instalamos en modo downgrade, porque en modo normal dice que el firmware es antiguo, el error persiste, marca sin tinta y da error (lectura fallida - 1) al intentar cargar el codigo de recuperación o la llave. desde ya muchas gracias.

I have an Epson and I made it chip-less, but After an update during install drivers on computer my device says (install ink Supply  unit correctly) and when I was want to use recovery key the licence program detect the printer but did not read it , I think it don't receive the Firmware because the when i update firmware the firmware version doesn't display on screen the version is 16.54 but the printer shows 16.56 i mean it's difference

Upload firmware to  printer in normal mode  - dont put printer in Program Update mode.
The uploading process will stuck at 70-80% -  it is ok!
Open task manager and stop updater process.
Printer will blink for about 5-15 minutes - then will power OFF.

Now power on the printer - chipless firmware is installed now in your printer!

I tried to re upload the firmware in IPL and in normal mode and still showing the same message.

Are you going to upgrade the firmware for this printer?
