I have an epson xp 15000 with a serial starting with "X46T" on which i want to activate the chipless firmware from chiplessolutions. This is about cartridge chips, not about the waste tank or maintenance tank.

The printer has no cartridges inserted, and i have none at hand. It is stuck in "maintenance error" in display navigation.

I did manage to flash the new firmware "XP15000_FWG150TL_NW07K7_NW99Z9" by having the printer in software update mode. The transfer of the firmware completed without error, and the printer reported successful flash and produced two checksums on its display. The firmware version is now  "NW14L4 14/04/2021".

Now here is the problem: I cannot read out the serial via license.exe tool. The tool lists the printer in the dropdown (USB001), but upon selecting it, i get no readout in the "printer's id" field.

However, wic reset utility v5.97 does manage to read the printers serial and firmware (that's how i got the info i posted). I tried it both on windows 11 and windows 10 (the latter in a fresh live usb environment), both with printer driver "epson674969eu". Also i tried deactivating epson services before trying to connect with license.exe. Also i later tried tweaking some usb communication drivers without success.

How can i proceed with the firmware activation? Can I use wic reset utility to retrieve the full serial, use this serial to get a key form chiplesssolutions and then send this key to the printer using wic reset utility again? I understand "wic reset" is part of the same ecosystem as chiplesssolutions, so are keys and firmware fully compatible? Or alternatively, would i have to reflash with a different wic reset firmware and get my activation key over the "wic reset" branch? Is there a fix on windows, e.g. a driver package that works more reliably?

To install Chipless Firmware to Epson WF-7820, WF-7840, WF-7845 printers, You have reprogram 2 chips on printers main board.
You can buy 2 bin files here - https://www.2manuals.com/product_info.php?products_id=2013

These bin files will enable you to make your Epson WF-7820, WF-7840, WF-7845 chipless for ink cartridges chips only.
You have to be a trained technician who knows how to work with reprogrammers, as you will need to desolder 2 IC chips and reprogram them, and then solder them back onto the printer board.

Once you have modified your printer to a chipless version, your printer will be defined as L15150 or ET-16600 and will no longer ask for cartridge replacement. Install printer drivers L15150 or ET-16600 and Your printer is ready to work.

the video is with the rt809f programmer, but it did not work on the w25q512jv chip
in fact there are 2 chips to program. w25q128 and w25q512. the former is programmable with most programmers supporting chips up to 256MB. like the famous CH341a. but only the rt809H in my case managed to program the flat 512 chip

Step 1. Upload chipless firmware to printer. Check current firmware version in Your printer now. If ok - then make Step 2.
Step 2. Run License.exe utility:
- select printer model from drop-down list 
-  click on Activate Online button
- input your Activation key

I would like to buy the chipless solution for the C5790 Epson printer. I downloaded the firmware from the chiplessolutions.com page, and updated using the Program Update Mode, then got error code 060008 because it must be updates using normal mode. 

The problem is, that when I updated the printer in Program Update Mode, when it finished updating, the screen said: version CV14I9, not CV99Z9 as the RAR file says in the new firmware. Is this ok? If I apply the activation license key will it work? I would very much like to know, if you would be so kind, the difference between these two versions, what is fixed in one another. 

In normal mode, the CV99Z9 firmware downloaded from the page, when finished uploading the new firmware says "Transfer complete" then "Version confirmed", but won't get to 100%, and finish properly, as before, now it says after 10 minutes, a message error, that firmware might no have been updated. The printer says in firmware version: "CV14I9".

I would like to buy your codes, instead of the chinese one from WinnerJet Donnguan, to try it.

I've installed the firmware for my WF-2835 from https://www.2manuals.com/product_info.php?products_id=1936. Checking the info using the WIC Utility, it shows that the firmware was modified to AL05K3:

So I purchased a license.

But the license tool doesn't work for me:

As you can see, you see nothing. I've requested a refund, but I'd prefer keeping my purchased license, and make everything work as supposed.

Printer is a new Epson XP-2200 Firmware 06.52.IU99Z9.  Model C671B.   When I attempt to update the firmware in normal mode it fails at 99% screenshot below.

If I then use service mode, it fails quickly at 11%.  Screenshot below.

I have tried a few different USB cables, so I don't think it's the connection.  I also tried the firmware from inkchip, but that firmware won't even run as it says downgrade not support, which seems to be the same as the official Epson firmware.  When I put the printer in service mode these firmware's still fail.

Please help, currently one of my compatible cartridges are not recognised so the printer is currently out of action.

As I understand for firmware CT04M8 & CT14I9 having problem 
The old firmware - CT14I9 version is LAN connection problem and after updated to firmware CT04M8 is power on/ off issue  

Thus, do u have any other version of firmware which is already overcome those issues ?

The license.exe tool was downloaded and extracted. When I start license.exe the printer is showing on USB001. So far so good. Then activate online. No luck the application just hangs. (Feb 2024 version).

I tried multiple computers and cables after reading some posts. No luck there. I tried windows 11, windows 10. I'm using the USB B port on the side under the lan, the printer seems to show ok but then the application freezes.

I did try the telnet on 211.159.168.205 20102 and that seems to work

I was able to update the firmware but ran into a problem in the activation. I put in the code but got back an error "communication failed. please, check connection between printer and pc. change usb port. check network connection. make sure that proxy is not used and disable firewall. try again later. - 10094

I went through the steps in the error to try and correct it, also tried it with a different operating system (I'm running Win11, tried it on a Win 10 machine)

Let me know if there is a fix for this.

I was able to run the firmware installer (XP15000_FWG150TL_NW20I7_NW99Z9) and upload it to the printer in program update mode (via USB), that seems to work ok. It says "finished". The buttons don't work so I can only unplug it to turn it off. How do I know if it worked? When I go into settings on the printer and view the firmware version, I just see NW2017. It still barks at me about ink levels (I suppose it would until I purchased the license).

When I run the firmware installer in normal mode, the screen indicates its updating firmware for a minute or two and then, just goes to the normal epson menu (maintenance, settings, wifi) but the power light flashes steadily (but maybe because one ink cart is out?) The app on the PC will continue to slowly progress all the way to 100% where then I finally get the message "The printer's firmware was not updated." 

Did it update the first time around and I am just not aware? I didn't want to buy the license until I had some sort of confirmation its installed and will work correctly. Without instructions, I am not clear if I already updated it in 'program update mode' following the small instruction set where you download the firmware prior to buying the license or if thats just testing - or if I am supposed to do that in normal mode? - Some other models look like I am supposed to do it in normal mode, but thats the bit thats not working.
