  1. Make sure that you are using correct version of the firmware: https://www.chiplesssolutions.com/download/chipless/XP214_FWG825TL_OD26I6_OD99Z9.zip you need to update printer in the normal mode and ink cartridges must be installed and recognized during update: https://forum.2manuals.com/index.php?/topic/80665-how-to-recover-chipless-firmware-after-printer-updated-from-epson/ if it is not possible you need to use this method: https://forum.2manuals.com/index.php?/topic/80708-updating-firmware-using-recovery-mode/ after update is complete, install WIC and check current version using `report` button, it must be OD26I6. After this disable all epson applications (select `support >> disable processes` in the WIC menu) and try to activate again.
  2. Good day. This is supposed to happen, please carefully read this topic: and check current firmware version, if it matches chipless one (FM10I8) try to activate it.
  3. Good day. Use this: https://www.chiplesssolutions.com/download/chipless/XP255_FWH318TL_FM10I8_FM99Z9.zip
  4. @xemoterp, please, try this: www.chiplesssolutions.com/download/updates/license-09-02-2020.zip and write about the results in this topic.
  5. If you have a printer that should be supported by WICReset according to the list of the supported models in the application: but it is not recognized when you connect it to the program: please, post in this topic a screenshot of the application that has this printer connected and clearly visible along with the model name that is written on the printer`s cover. Both the screenshot and the model from the cover MUST be included.
  6. Good day. If you send me a way to contact you (skype or telegram) in private message, I can connect to you remotely and try to fix it. Unfortunately, it`s not clear from your post what exactly did you do and what exactly happened.
  7. Good day. Did you tried this: Please, install latest official version of the firmware, then replace/reset maintenance box and make sure that it is recognized by the printer, after this install chipless firmware (firmware with disabled ink cartridges) back. You have to use new Firmware Key.
  8. I see, according to the service manual 0Dxxxxxx errors is "An error code for debugging", which means that they should not happen after printer is shipped to customer, so probably either EEPROM or firmware is corrupted, unfortunately, I never encountered this myself and do not have specific advice, but service manual recommends to reflush printer firmware. Also, you need to ask this person, what exactly she did.
  9. This message means that entered string has incorrect format and it's not a key. Please, make sure that you entered all symbols correctly and did not use transaction id/reference number or similiar instead. Correct CS key must look like this: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
  10. Good day. Please, describe the whole process with as much details as possible, what is your operating system? What exactly this person done? What did you do and when exactly you get this error? Also, please, add screenshots, including one with this error. Lastly, I can connect to you remotely and try to solve this myself.
  11. Also make sure that USB connection is not disabled on the printer in the settings: 1. Press the home button, if necessary. 2. Select Settings. 3. Select General Settings. 4. Select Printer Settings. 5. Scroll down and select PC Connection via USB. 6. Select Enable.
  12. Please, install latest official version of the firmware, then replace/reset maintenance box and make sure that it is recognized by the printer, after this install chipless firmware back and reactivate it using recovery code.
  13. OS is operating system, what version of the windows do you have? "It don't connect with my Epson. " please, describe what exactly is happening with screenshots, also what are you trying to accomplish?
  14. Good day Is printer driver installed in the system and connected with correct virtual USB port? Application can only see installed printers, also you need to disconnect any other printers you may have. What OS you are using? Make sure that you run the program in compatibility mode with XP and it has administrative rights.
  15. Good day. Did you reupload chipless firmware back to the printer again after update from epson? What is the current version? You can check it in the printer settings or via WIC using `report` button.
  16. Printer`s firmware must be updated in the normal mode via USB, if you are disabled USB and unable to reach printer`s settings, you need to temporarily install original cartridges.
  17. Update process consists of two steps, first application send firmware data to the printer and signal that transfer is finished, then printer shutdown all communication and start internal update, at this point it`s impossile to check the results. Recently Epson started to block older versions of the firmware with their updates, after checking firmware signature printer just refuses to write data to the chip. If you send me key via PM, I will restore it. After this, you have two options, either use WIC key again with this method that may or may not work: or replace WIC key with CS key after paying the difference.
  18. Please, check current firmware version using `report` button in WIC, for chipless firmware it must be AT12GC.
  19. Chipless firmware, once activated, do not expire and if you will acidentally update to official version in the future, you can restore it and reactivate with recovery code.
  20. Good day. Firmware from WIC is cheaper but it also older than CS version which means that there are higher chance that it was blocked by Epson for your device.
  21. Caution! This topic will explain how to upload firmware to the printer by pulling out power cable during critical operation and corrupting data on the motherboard. This method has been used dozens of times but, while nobody reported any irreparable damages, results are not conclusive. Execution: 1. Only use this method when everything else is failed. 2. Make sure that there are no problems with USB cable or USB port. Even if the cable is fine for printing there are still can be issues when uploading firmware data, so if you get any errors consider to replace the cable and switch USB port first. 3. Start uploading firmware normally. It is preferable to use service mode (instruction for entering service mode can be found in respective chipless manual) and official offline firmware that you can download from Epson website for this, but if this not possible you can start updating process in normal mode and use Epson Update Center. 4. Remove power cable when firmware is being rewritten. Firmware update executes in four steps: uploading data, verifying data, erasing chip and writing new data to the chip, you need to remove cable during the last two steps somewhere in the middle of the whole proccess. Usually apropriate message is shown during each step if printer has LCD or LED indication is changed otherwise, but it varies from model to model and some models does not indicate changes in any way until the very end. 5. Start the printer normally using power button, in should start in the recovery mode and will be recognized as new MFP-IPL device on the system. If the printer has an LCD it will also show `Recovery Mode` message on the screen. 6. Upload chipless firmware according to the standard instructions in this mode. 7. Printer should accept chipless firmware now, but in the case when even this process will fail you may use official firmware to restore device functionality.
  22. Good day, each time when you connect usb printer to the PC virtual printing USB port name (USB001,USB002,etc) is assigned, once you install the driver this assignment is remembered and as result the more installed printers you have in the system the higher is port number for the next one. Unfortunately, license.exe can only work with first 32 ports, so in order to use it with the new device, you need to delete one of the existed printers with low port number, freeing it, and then replug the new one (of course it will only work if new device is not installed itself, otherwise it will have fixed port number and nothing will change). Bottom line, remove as much unused printers from the system as possible.
  23. Good day. First of all try to change USB cable and port, download WICReset and shutdown all epson processes via 'main menu >> support >> disable porcesses' and make sure that correct firmware version is used: https://chiplesssolutions.com/download/WFC5210_FWG242TL_ZZ99Z9.zip
  24. Good day. Your printer must be either in normal mode or recovery mode, your screenshot shows update summary and in this particular state it will not accept another firmware no matter what. Shutdown the printer, then start it normally via power button and try again.
