  3. Can you check current firmware version of the printer using WICReset and post here.

Unfortunately, Epson started to block specific old versions of the firmware on the new devices, firmware from the WIC could not be flushed on your printer, you need to use chipless version from the Chipless Solutions. If printer is already erased previous firmware before checking and blocking new one, you can restore functionality using free recovery firmware that you can enable via settings.

Unfortunately WIC version of the firmware has been blocked by epson on loader level and could not be used with this specific device, you need to enable recovery firmwares in the settings and then update printer with recovery firmware to restore functionality. Then you need to use firmware from Chipless Solutions.

  9. Good day. As you can see on the screen, firmware that has been used for update is CL27J9, but firmware for the link I provided is CL21I2, somehow wrong version has been used. Please, delete all existing firmware archives from the PC first, then download firmware directly from my link, make sure that archive name contains CL21I2, then unpack it and execute.

  12. Good day. What is exact printer model and current firmware version (you can check both in the WICReset using report button)?

BradC, each time when you connect usb printer to the PC virtual printing USB port name (USB001,USB002,etc) is assigned, once you install the driver this assignment is remembered and as result the more installed printers you have in the system the higher is port number for the next one. Unfortunately, license.exe can only work with first 64 ports, so in order to use it with the new device, you need to delete one of the existed printers with low port number, freeing it, and then replug the new one (of course it will only work if new device is not installed itself, otherwise it will have fixed port number and nothing will change). Bottom line, remove as much unused printers from the system as possible.
  14. Due to the technical differences between Canon and Epson printers it`s all or nothing deal, we do not provide trial option for this brand, it`s not a sales policy, I`m afraid you either need to use full key or purchase service tool that you can find from the main page.

  17. Good day. 1. Try different USB ports. 2. Install WIC reset and check if printer is recognized by it. 3. Make sure that virtual USB port assigned to the printer is below 64, this one is only relevant if you have a lot of printers installed in the system. You can see USB port on the 'ports' tab of the printer`s settings or on the device tooltip in WIC. 4. If you are using WIN10 try to start license.exe with administrator rights.

  19. Good day, as far as I know you need to change decoder inside printhead. If you want software solution you need to use chipless firmware.
  20. Good day. Please, check private messages. Also Please, install latest official version of the firmware, then replace/reset maintenance box and make sure that it is recognized by the printer, after this install chipless firmware (firmware with disabled ink cartridges) back. You have to use new Firmware Key.
  21. We will need to test it further, I will write back as soon as I will have new information. Just to be clear, does reinstalling official firmware and replacing maintenance box then using chipless firmware again temporary helps until new maintenance box is full again or does the printer immediately stops recognizing new maintenance box once chipless firmware is installed again?
