WICReset has the ability to change region data for some models, this will affect a lot of settings including available languages, default paper size and others. Here is how you can do it: 1. Enable advanced functions in the settings: 2. Save printer's EEPROM before changing region: 3. Select region from the `initialization and conversion` list and press execute: 4. Carefully read and confirm all warning messages: 5. Restart the printer. Important! If you have any problems with the new region then restore EEPROM data that has been saved during step 2 back to the printer.

When you revert to the official firmware now do you still have this problem?

Good day. Chipless firmware does not have any code that stops ink flow at all, do you have the same problem with blue when using official firmware?
-
If you saved recovery code, try to revert to the official firmware first and check the results.
-
Printer with chipless firmware should work even without IC, either firmware has not been succesfully uploaded/activated or official firmware was automatically installed afterwards. Please, make sure that printer has correct version of the firmware and restore chipless mode with recovery key if necessary.

XP-245 - How to Block auto firmware update
wic.support replied to flygoat's topic in Chipless Firmware by License.exe utility
Did you also disable firmware updates in the driver settings? https://www.wic.support/how-to-disable-automatic-firmware-updates-on-epson-printers/ Also try to install software updater, disable automatic updates here and then uninstall it again. -
XP-245 - How to Block auto firmware update
wic.support replied to flygoat's topic in Chipless Firmware by License.exe utility
Good day, are you sure that you do not have epson software updater installed and autoupdate is disabled in the driver settings? As far as I know this printer does not support autoupdate by itself, but if you have corresponding epson software it can update the printer even via Wi-Fi connection. -
Please, send a photo of the printer's menu and example of printing quality.

SC-P800 Series can be upgraded to chipless without ink cartridges.

Epson L1455 / ET-16500 starts in "printer inspection mode"
wic.support replied to morris's topic in Inkjet Printers Issues
Both L1455 and ET-16500 use the same firmware, difference is in the data that located in the eeprom. So the answer stays the same, you either need to write initial settings or copy eeprom data from another device.- 4 replies

Epson L1455 / ET-16500 starts in "printer inspection mode"
wic.support replied to morris's topic in Inkjet Printers Issues
This most likely means that motherboard has not been initialized, you need to either write initial settings via ajp or find eeprom from another L1455 and write it to the printer. In both cases you will also need to set all other printer's settings again.- 4 replies

Good day. Unfortunately, we do not have chipless firmware for this model, the firmware version that you uploaded still needs working IC chips. If you are using refillable IC then either they need to be reset manually or chips are damaged.

xp-960 firmware only goes up to 14%
wic.support replied to digit-el.com's topic in Chipless Firmware by License.exe utility
Good day. Please, read this first: https://forum.2manuals.com/index.php?/topic/80765-faq-_-how-to-update-and-activate-chipless-firmware-complete-guide/ If problem persists, click report button in the WIC and post screenshot here. -
Good day. Unfortunately, it means that this version of the firmware has been blocked for your device by epson. In order to restore usual functionality you can use free recovery mode firmware in WIC. 1. First enable firmware for fixing recovery mode in the settings (main menu > file > settings). 2. Start the printer in the recovery mode. 3. In the new combo box under `Fix Recovery Mode` section (the last one) select your printer's model.

downgrade firmware cannot get update version
wic.support replied to sarge's topic in Firmware Downgrade by WIC utility
Port on the front can only be used to connect external memory device, it will not work with the PC. You must use USB-B port at the back.
