Had the same problem.. Using chipless and drained one of the inks.. So I had to do cleaning couple of times that's why the maintenance box overflowed and inks leaked..
To solve the issue I followed the steps on disconnecting the ink sensor cables and viola.. Am back to printing..

How to clean ink pads on Wf-c5290?

Just want to ask how do you clean your ink pads on WF-C5290? Because mine is overflowing with waste ink after many prints, fast. This is because I did head cleaning earlier couple of times making it full so I drained it and put it back. Now its full again and inks are dripping all over. Are there any steps on how to open maintenance box and clean waste pads?

Btw, I'm using chipless inks.
