Hi there. I can’t figure out how to revert back to the ORIGINAL Epson version FA20I4 firmware. I ran the Epson software updater but it doesn’t trigger an update. Do I need to use WIC to rollback to an older version first ? And do I really need to purchase another key to do this ? i installed the chipless update using your EPFWUPD utility and License.exe - not WIC. I really need to do this soon because I have to ship back the printer to Epson for an exchange !

I think people would pay a lot of money for chipless p7000 p8000 p9000...

What file is needed from the Epson website - “Drivers and Utilities Combo Package” ? The other option I see is “check for software update” on Epson Monitor 3 - but that would download the latest version - it would be nice to have the option of restoring Epson FA20I4 using EPFWUPD.EXE

Hi John, thanks for the reply. The problem is that I haven't bought the printer yet. I want to use it with piezography inks but I want to know if the printer will work with refillable carts. Are there any epson firmware updates for the p800 that prevent the chipless firmware from working?

Does the chipless firmware work with all versions of the Epson firmware for a p800 ? I'm about to buy a used p800 but first I want to make sure I can convert it - thanks!
