If I press and hold the STOP + DOWN + LEFT + POWER buttons, the update will be successful, but when I enter the KEY and press Update Printer, nothing will happen. If I do not enter Update mode, the update program will run to 80-90% and the printer will display an error when changing the external ink supply system. So what can I do? Thanks -
I am having some trouble finding the instructions for installing the chipless firmware for Epson XP-15000, so I am guessing at the process from just a few comments I have read. I was able to run the firmware installer (XP15000_FWG150TL_NW20I7_NW99Z9) and upload it to the printer in program update mode (via USB), that seems to work ok. It says "finished". The buttons don't work so I can only unplug it to turn it off. How do I know if it worked? When I go into settings on the printer and view the firmware version, I just see NW2017. It still barks at me about ink levels (I suppose it would until I purchased the license). When I run the firmware installer in normal mode, the screen indicates its updating firmware for a minute or two and then, just goes to the normal epson menu (maintenance, settings, wifi) but the power light flashes steadily (but maybe because one ink cart is out?) The app on the PC will continue to slowly progress all the way to 100% where then I finally get the message "The printer's firmware was not updated." Did it update the first time around and I am just not aware? I didn't want to buy the license until I had some sort of confirmation its installed and will work correctly. Without instructions, I am not clear if I already updated it in 'program update mode' following the small instruction set where you download the firmware prior to buying the license or if thats just testing - or if I am supposed to do that in normal mode? - Some other models look like I am supposed to do it in normal mode, but thats the bit thats not working. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you! -

I was able to install Chipless Firmware in my C5290 but after 25k pages, the printer kinda went out already. Im planning to bring it to Epson Service Center for warranty claim but I need to reinstall original firmware. How to do it? And can i reinstall the chipless firmware after the repair? -
I have a Chipless Epson C5210 printer, after approx. 25,000 prints the cyan was printing lighter as I used the printer. I am recently retired from the commercial printing industry and have watched press operators tweek their ink on a press by adding a little black or other color. I added some black to the cyan cartridge and BOOM, it fixed the problem. The prints are darker and look like they did before the problem.

My Epson wf 3720 printer isn't reckonizings 3rd party nk cartridges after I gave into cx reminder of a firmware updaye....so I purchased the $30 code, downloaded firmware, ran License, tried to enter code and get message that it is not recognized. Now what? -
I downgrade well my c5710 with chipless software. But after few days, I have this problem of recognition of all the cartridge. I tried to take them off but it still the same. How can i fix that please?

hello, my epson wf7710 printer is using a chip-free version (I bought an activation key), but because I accidentally let the printer update the latest firmware version 10.44.FA25JA, the printer says it doesn't accept the toner cartridge now. . I downloaded the firmware downgrade software version A0.40.FA27HC and followed the instructions, but when completed, the screen on the printer still says version 10.44.FA25JA. So the downgrade failed. Please help me downgrade the firmware for epson 7710, thanks.

Hello. The last upgrade for epson xp231 ((FO04JA 04/10/2019) is not allowing firmware downgrade. So license program and chipless solution does not work anymore for that printer. Some solution by now? -
Hello! I ran the Epson license tool and followed the guide and everything seemed to work right but I'm getting a low ink warning. I haven't changed the cartridge as I just filled it.. Is there something I'm missing or did the update not take correctly? -

The problem I have is that after a firmware update, my printer no longer recognized the offbrand cartridge . I installed the firmware and that seemed to work fine. If I buy this activation key, will that solve the issue? As in, will I be able to use the cartridges again? Or will I have to buy refillable cartridges? I have searched and don't see any for the wf-4730 . Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Epson firmware update over the Internet today to 30.74.CL27J9 caused the printer to stop recognizing the installed 3rd party cartridges. ???? Downloaded WIC, bought a firmware key, put the printer in maintenance more, ran the update ( CL26H9) which said it transferred OK to the printer. The printer seemed to run the firmware update but when it seemed to complete it displayed a screen that said it still has the 30.74.CL27J9 Powered on/off a couple of times, but no change, firmware is still 30.74.CL27J9 and ink cartridges are not recognized. Tried to re-run the process but WIC says it's already done it. How can I fix this? Thanks. -

While performing the first few steps to convert an Epson P400 to the chipless firmware (the first upload test, to determine if the printer will work) it keeps getting stuck at 55%. What could be causing the test to hang at this point, consistently? -
I have attempted once again to update my firmware to chipless for my Epson XP-15000. Per information in the "Resources" folder I set my printer in "update" mode and transferred the downloaded "EPFWUPD" file which reflected a change in my firmware to your "20.41.NW2017" version. And per instructions in your "epson firmware updater" program which at the bottom states .. Wait for the printer to turn off automatically. I am showing 100% transfer of "FWG150TL" and per the "resources" file have waited past the 15 minute mark now at 45 minutes. Also I have not recived an "activation" code although you have been in receipt of my payment ... .. now what??? -

Hi, I recently bought the Chipless firmware key for the WF-6090 printer. Sucessfully installed and it was all good until the printer throwed the full maintenence box's error. I hard resetted the box but the message was never gone. I had to install the original firmware to get ride of the message but when installing back the chipless solution the counter is always going down for the box and there is no way to get it full even if I switch the box with a totally new one. I already installed twice the firmware. I bought two keys for this and still not able to use the printer properly. It's having this persistent error with the box. It's buggy... @John_Admin are you able to fix it? I really need my printer working with the chipless solution, I bought it because it was a supported model for chipless firmware. I already bought like 5 keys for the WF-5190 and no issues at all with that printer, I only have a huge thank you for your solutions.
