WF-7820, WF-7840 chipless firmware?

Recommended Posts

Hi, any update on the chipless firmware for 7840? Thinking of getting rid of mine that I just purchased bc ink wastes like crazy unless firmware could soon be available. Thanks

@John_Admin    I have an Epson WF-7820, I seen you comment about one time chips? does this mean I can use the same chips from an ink cartridge even if it says it's empty? I haven't had my epson long, and while learning to use it, I cleaned the heads to many times and now its says the ink is empty even though they're full. any suggestions?

@SublimationMike Just replying to your comment since I have experience with the one time chips for my WF-7840. You can keep using the same cartridges to refill the ink but have to replace the chips once the ink cartridge is low. I tried them but after a few head cleanings the black cartridge was already reading low without me even having printed any designs so basically was wasted money for me. If a chip resetter exists for that printer, that would be the only way to keep reusing those same chips.

In this case mr John, can you confirm that epson wf 7820 and epson ET5800, L16500, ET16600, Et 16650,  have a relationship similar to the one that existed between epson wf 7620, epson L1455 and epson et 16500. All those 3 were same printer different regions. But could share firmware. In the case you confirm so, then the result for wf 7820 gets unpuzzled faster than you imagine. Please

Good day.

WF-7820 shares firmware with four models: WF-7840/PX-M6010F/PX-M6011F/EC-C7000 (CD****).

All other printers you mentioned also share firmware with different models and incompatible with each other:

ET-5800/L6550 - (KD****).
ET-16600/L15150/PX-M6711FT - (CI****).
ET-16650/L15160/PX-M6712FT - (CJ****).

Also WF-7620 is incompatible with L1455/ET-16500, correct relationships are:

WF-7610/WF-7620/PX-M5041F - (AD****).
L1455/ET-16500/EW-M5071FT - (AI****).
