Will new (same model) printer require new chipless software

Recommended Posts

I originally ordered and used the Chipless Solution software on an Epson P800 since late 2020. I recently had to get a replacement P800 and was wondering if I have to get new Chipless software or just be able to transfer the existing software to this new P800. I have some of the original info on my computer, but not the activation key. Any answers would be helpful.

Thank you, Alex, for your reply! I now have a new question but with the same printer. I had the original printer (with the chipless solution) repaired and the repair technician (authorized Epson Repair) said that he brought the printer's firmware up to current status. I found this out after I came to pick up the printer. Will I need to just reinstall what is already on my computer or by just reconnecting to my computer will it automatically make the printer chipless again. Or do I have to get a new activation key. In other words, start all over.

As an addendum to my previous post, the printer that I had repaired and had the chipless solution on, I do not have the activation code from when I first installed it in October 2020. Again, do I have to pay to get a replacement code?

I have been trying to login to purchase an activation key but it won't let me. I just signed up 30MAY26 and it says it can't find me.

Why am I unable to get a response to my question? Under settings: Your profile is 100% complete!

Even after checking in to by the software I get this message:  Error: No match for E-Mail Address and/or Password.

This is getting frustrating. I had originally purchased this software in October 2020 and had no trouble before but now, even after creating a new profile, etc. Your system can't seem to find my information. I have used the same email addy for longer than 2020.
