  1. Hello. I have 2 WF-579R with chipless firmware, both with the same problem. Neither has yellow color working. Instead of yellow, printer prints black, sometimes cyan. And the pattern is blurry. I've done tens of cleanings but nothing will make it work. If I swap ink cartridges, for example, put yellow on cyan, after a couple o cleanings, cyan prints yellow, so ink cartridge is fine and ink is fine. Even yellow starts printing blurry yellow with yellow ink in cyan.

One printer got to about 20k copies and the other about 3k before yellow started to print blurry. So I was wondering if it's not a firmware problem.

Do you have a chipless firmware older than CE16L7 for me to try?

    Thank you!

  2. Hello, I tried a firmware downgrade instead of disabled ink firmware (that bricked my previous printer), the process went through without errors, printer restarted but no firmware downgrade was made. Printer still has factory firmware, which is DG03K7 - 03/07/2020.

Can someone help me here? I've already spent $40 trying to make my printer chipless with no luck.

FYI, my orders were #24072262 and #24789104.

    Thank you!

  3. Hello. As I've already seen on this forum, I had the same problem updating to firmware with disabled ink on my WF-6090.

Machine was updating firmware, then it shut down and never started again. I've waited 10 minutes unplugged and tried entering service mode using suggested combinations but the printer is unresponsive. What do I do now?

FYI, I tried to update directly from Epson's latest firmware. Later, I saw a forum post explaining that I was supposted to update to another firmware in WIC utility before going for the disabled ink firmware. WIC utility didn't warn me of anything and anywhere but that forum post said that I had to do that firmware upgrade first, so if that's the case, how should I know?

It would be really awful that I spent $20 just to break my brand new printer, so please, help me out.

    Thanks
