I did the same procedure some months ago with my personal printer, same model, and now I sold this service to a custumer
Customer i using windows 7.
I flashed the new firmware and when I open the license.exe and I click on activate online, the printer ID is displayed, and I insert the activation code, but it doesn´t give any response and close the window. From tutorial I think it should give a positive response.
