Shawne 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2020 When I try to activate online I get "Reading failed -1". I have an Epson XP15000.
Shawne 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2020 I tried again uploading the firmware update normal mode and it seemed to work. I had to do it twice because it said 99% - failed to upload. The second time I just tried to put in the activation key and it took. I just restarted my printer. How do I know if it is in working order? Where do I check if the firmware is successfully installed?
Shawne 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2020 Under firmware update it says NW2017. Does that mean it took?
wic.support 21 Report post Posted June 3, 2020 NW20I7 is chipless firmware version. NW is series, 20I7 is date. If printer works without chips then it is activated, this is the sole purpose of chipless firmware.
Shawne 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2020 Is that sarcasm? I was hoping to figure it out before spending $100 on sublimation ink in refillable cartridges.
wic.support 21 Report post Posted June 5, 2020 Did you try to start the printer without cartridges and check if it still shows full ink levels?
Shawne 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2020 That worked, thanks.
