Jil 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2020 Hi all, I live in the US and just purchased an Epson XP-6100 and the CISS system from city ink express in the UK. I bought sublimation ink as well. I may have incorrectly assumed that because a CISS system was available, I could do sublimation printing with it. I haven't been able to find chipless firmware for it. Does it exist and if not, is there anything else I can do to get it to work correctly? I don't want to be stuck with a printer I bought to do sublimation if I can't convert it. Can I do this with a XP-6100 or am I screwed? Thank you very much.
John_Admin 390 Report post Posted October 7, 2020 You can buy CISS (as you mentioned above - it is available) and use Your printer. Chipless firmware for 6100 is not available.
Jil 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2020 @John_Admin I thought I had to do the chipless thing for it to work with the CISS? The CISS hasn’t made it here yet but I was afraid I’d brick the printer if I didn’t have chipless firmware before I installed it. Thanks for helping me.
