I/O errors on Windows 10

Recommended Posts

Some versions of Windows 10 have an issue where application may freeze when trying to communicate with the printer unless the first query is sent via the driver. To resolve this, please, do the following:

1. Restart the printer.

2. Install printer drivers if you don't have them yet.

3. Start the printer's status monitor and wait until it reads the current status.

4. Run WIC as an administrator and disable all Epson processes via the support menu (including status monitor). To do so, select "support > disable processes" in the main menu in WIC and then click the "terminate all" button.

5. Try to reset again.
