I’m currently trying to recover an Epson WF-C5790 printer that is stuck in Recovery Mode. The display shows:
EPSON DEVICE – Recovery Mode ROM Version: 17.73.CV24M3
I’ve attempted multiple firmware flashes using:
CV09L3 and other older versions (via WIC and third-party tools)
The update reaches “FINISHED”, but the printer still reboots back into Recovery Mode
The ROM version never changes, which suggests rollback protection is active
Unfortunately, I do not have the original firmware package for 17.73.CV24M3, which I believe is required to properly reinstall and exit Recovery Mode.
I’m requesting help from anyone who:
Has a copy of the official or modified 17.73.CV24M3 firmware
Has successfully recovered a WF-C5790 in this state
Can confirm if WIC or any other method allows force-installing over rollback-protected firmware
Any advice, working file links, or guidance would be appreciated.
