  1. You can restore chipless firmware by using the same key that you used to activate it first time.
  2. Good day. 031008 error or 0x7920 in hex is: VBS overvoltage error (VBS is Bulk-Source Voltage). Possible causes: Head FFC failure. Failure of the head. Main Board Failure. Unfortunately, I do not have specific solution. Problem is definitely with the printhead, but what exactly causes this is not clear. Maybe new firmware version is just better at handling printhead with voltage issues or at least less sensitive to this kind of problems.
  3. Good day. Most likely firmware was not updated properly. Please, read this guide: https://forum.2manuals.com/index.php?/topic/80765-how-to-update-and-activate-chipless-firmware-complete-guide/ expecially Note 3 here: https://forum.2manuals.com/index.php?/topic/80765-how-to-update-and-activate-chipless-firmware-complete-guide/&tab=comments#comment-87415
  4. This is expected, check current firmware version on the printer's LCD or using WIC application. If it is the same as chipless one (real firmware version is in the file name before 99Z9) then update was sucessfull and you need to activate it.
  5. In the application select `main menu > support > send error report` I will check the logs.
  6. Good day. Please, read this first: https://forum.2manuals.com/index.php?/topic/80765-how-to-update-and-activate-chipless-firmware-complete-guide/ make sure that you are using correct firmware in the normal mode and that USB connection is enabled in the normal mode on the printer. I this will not work, I can connect to you remotely and try to fix it myself.
  7. NW20I7 is wrong firmware version. Download and upload in normal mode correct NW07K7 version https://chiplesssolutions.com/download/chipless/XP15000_FWG150TL_NW07K7_NW99Z9.zip
  8. Good day. Chipless firmware disables verification of the IC chips, you can use anything that can fit in the printhead.
  9. Head ID or lack of it could not affect the printer in such way, if you sure that printhead has been installed correctly then the problem is either with the compatilibty or with hardware.
  10. Unfortunately, Epson started to block specific old versions of the firmware on the new devices, firmware from the WIC could not be flushed on your printer. If printer is already erased previous firmware before checking and blocking the new one, you can restore functionality using free recovery firmware that you can enable via settings. Send me the key you are used in the PM, then you can try this method: https://forum.2manuals.com/index.php?/topic/80765-how-to-update-and-activate-chipless-firmware-complete-guide/&tab=comments#comment-87421 but if it will not work then it will mean that we could not provide a solution right now.
  11. Additionaly, XP-430 must be updated in the normal working mode and it must be in the ready to print state during update process (i.e. no errors, no tasks and most importantly, ink cartridges must be recognized).
  12. All modifications in the chipless firmware is completely internal and do not depend on anything outside of the printer itself, in short, you can move the printer to anywhere you like and connect it to anything you like, as long as you do not change firmware it will stay chipless.
  13. Good day. Currently program discovers printers by sending broadcast message to the local network interfaces. Printer must have IPv4 address and it must be connected to the local network. If everything else fails you can also add its IP address directly in the application settings.
  14. What errors exactly and where? What exactly is not working? Please, describe your problem with as much details as possible and inculde printer report from WICReset. Give us screenshots please.
  15. When you say it does not work what exactly is happening? Is there are any error?
  16. As I wrote in the previous post CL99Z9 is the fake ID in the program specifications, it used to make sure that update can be done even if the current version on the printer is higher than the real one - CL30J5. The firmware itself is CL30J5, there are no such version as CL99Z9 at all because this is just a trick to make updater work in every case. Also, updater may not detect that updating is finished and show an error even if update completed succesfully. Please, read this: https://forum.2manuals.com/index.php?/topic/80765-how-to-update-and-activate-chipless-firmware-complete-guide/ I believe it covers most questions.
  17. 1. Yes. 2. It should be updated now, please, check the current version. CL99Z9 is the fake ID in the program specifications, it used to make sure that update can be done even if the current version on the printer is higher than the real one - CL30J5. 3. Activated firmware will not check presence of the IC chips or read/write data to them. Also it will keep ink levels at 100% no matter what. That is the difference. For example one may use it with the CISS and avoid the need to periodicaly reset the cartridges when printer thinks that they are empty. Additionally, your 3rd party cartridges may be compatible with the base version of this firmware but that doen't mean that all of them are.
  18. 1. To update printer in normal mode you need to boot the printer normally and then to use same firmware updater - EPFWUP.EXE, i.e. everything is the same but you skip the part where you entering service mode . 2. CL21I2 is older outdated version of the chipless firmware and now unsupported, use this: www.chiplesssolutions.com/download/chipless/WF3720_FWF469TL_CL30J5_CL99Z9.zip version in the end must be CL30J5 3. If your goal is to use third party cartridges then you do not need to activate it, if you want the printer to work without cartridges then you need to install version above and use license.exe
  19. Good day. You are using service mode for firmware update, all chipless firmware must be loaded in normal mode.
  20. Not likely, it is rather old printer and this firmware is hard to find. What problem are you trying to solve with firmware update?
  21. Unfotrunately, you would not be able to use either, this is a rare case when epson made two different firmware series for one model. Your printer uses firmware with AA prefix while we only have versions with AO prefix and they are incompatible with each other.
  22. Good day. What is the current version of the firwmare? In the WIC select `report` button and post the screenshot.
  23. 1. Do you have the same model WF-2630? 2. What error exactly did you get? Post the screenshot.
  24. Good day. What error exactly? Please, install WICReset then press `report` button and post screenshot with data here.
