    Good day. When you start license.exe and click activate online, information is readed from the printer and is shown in the upper field before key input dialog appears. Please, click activate then close key dialog and post this information here.

    This behaviour (updater showing error) is expected due to the recent changes made by epson, as long as the printer has correct version after update you can activate it. OR18HC is correct version so you may continue with activation.

    USB port on the front could not be used for update, it is intended for external memory devices only and has no other functionality. You must use type-b USB port at the back (under LAN port). Check user guide for details.

    No, I meant private message that I sended to you earlier. Also, do you have Wi-Fi enabled on this printer? Are you sure that firmware update has been excuted via USB and not via Network, updater can do both and it is not always obvious which one has been chosen.     This specific model can be updated with or without any errors and making it recognize ink cartridges will not change anything. Futhermore, it is expected for firmware updater to fail with an error at the end of the process due to implemenation and recent changes made by Epson. Also printer should be recognizable by license application regardless of the firmware or error conditions. Please, follow the instructions in the post above and also read this: https://forum.2manuals.com/index.php?/topic/80765-how-to-update-and-activate-chipless-firmware-complete-guide/&tab=comments#comment-87419 if possible, try to use Windows 7 instead of Window 10.

    Those printers has a chip on the maintenance box. You can only reset auxiliary counter for the pad under printhead. This option is avaialble under additional functions that you can enable in the settings, but if main counter is overflowed printer will still be blocked until you replace maintenance box.

    When you say it does not turn on at all you mean it does not react on power button in any way or it shows recovery mode? In the first case you need to bring the printer to the service center. In the second case you can restore it by flushing latest official firmware first.

    Good day. This particular error means that the key is mistyped, please, try to input it manually again and make sure that any ambiguous symbols are correct. If you will still have a poblem after this, send me you contact information in the PM (skype,telegram) and I will try to connect remotely and solve this myself.

    If device printed nozzle pattern during this period then problem was not waste overflow. What is the current printer status in WIC? Did you tried to plug the printer to the different port then reinstall printer's driver and printing software? Also thanks for the find, we will fix trial reset for this model shortly.

    During the firmware update internet connection is not required, during the activation process PC must be connected to the internet, it does not matter if printer is connected as well or not.

    Both 0x69 and 34503 means: ink system clutch operation contact point detection error. i.e. printer unable to detect that cartrige cover is closed, we never had complaints like this before, let alone from the two unrelated models. I think the problem is with the setup of the CISS system or cartridges. Try to remove everything from the printhead, close the cover and check if you still see this error when it is empty.

    Currently there is no chipless firmware for this model.

    This message indicates that used firmare version is blocked on the printer. You may use latest official firmware version to restore previous state. You also need to use firmware from chipless solutions to make printer chipless and for this you will need windows.

    Either some other application is interfering with the communication process or USB cable is damaged. Try to disable all epson processes and services, remove all printing tasks and restart the printer then start the whole process again.     You can restore chipless firmware by using the same key that you used to activate it first time.
